Shop fit-out and commercial joinery in Northern Ireland
We make and fit commercial joinery in our own workshop: counters, back-bars, reception desks, display shelving, wall panelling and fitted storage. Because we also make the signage, a fit-out arrives as one job with one contact rather than three trades blaming each other.

Most of this work is retail units, bars and restaurants, clinics and professional offices. We are used to working around a live business, out of hours where it matters, and finishing so the space can open on the date it was meant to.

Bar fit out and hospitality joinery
Bar fit out is the work we are asked for most in hospitality: the servery, the back bar, the seating and the panelling, made in the workshop and installed in one visit. A bar fit out and its shop front signage come from the same building, so the opening date is one date rather than two trades waiting on each other.
Shopfitting across Belfast and Northern Ireland
We work as shop fitters in Belfast and across Northern Ireland, on new units and on refits of trading premises. Shopfitting here means counters, display joinery, partitions, flooring and the shop front, drawn, made and fitted by the same company.
How the job runs

Step 1
Site survey and measure
We survey the unit as it is, including the parts nobody wants to think about: the floor level, the services, the fire exits and what is actually behind the plasterboard. Retail units change hands a lot and rarely match the drawings.

Step 2
Drawings and specification
You get drawings and a written specification of materials and finishes before anything is made. That is what stops the conversation at the end being about what you thought you were getting.

Step 3
Workshop manufacture
Counters, back-bars, reception desks and shelving are made in our own workshop, which means the fit is checked before it arrives on site rather than adjusted on site with a saw.

Step 4
Installation
Fitted by our own joiners, working out of hours where the unit needs to stay trading. Signage and graphics go in on the same programme.

Step 5
Snagging and handover
We walk the unit with you, list what is outstanding, and come back and close it. A job is not finished because the invoice went out.
What drives the price
Fit-out is the hardest thing we do to price from a phone call, because the cost sits in the specification rather than the square footage. A counter in laminate and a counter in solid surface with an integrated light are the same drawing and very different money.
The biggest variables are the finishes, whether the shell needs work before we start, and whether we are working normal hours or nights. Joinery lead times are running at about two months, so book the survey early even if the opening date is a way off.
Common questions
- Can you work out of hours so we stay open?
- Yes, and for most retail and hospitality fit-outs we do. Nights and early mornings are normal for us, particularly for shop fronts on a busy street.
- How far ahead do I need to book joinery?
- Joinery lead times run at around two months at the moment, because good joiners are hard to come by and we will not take work we cannot staff properly. Get the survey done early even if the date is a way off.
- Do you do the signage as part of the fit-out?
- Yes. That is the point of using us. The fascia, the window graphics, the interior signage and the joinery all come from the same workshop and go in on the same programme.
