Digital signage and LED screens
Digital signage is a screen you can change from a laptop rather than a printed panel you have to replace. We supply and install LED display screens and digital signage for shop windows, receptions and forecourts, including the mounting, the power and the media player behind it.

LED signs are the standard now for anything that has to read after dark: halo lit built-up letters, edge lit fascias and illuminated trough lighting. All of it is made in Mallusk and maintained by the same crews that installed it.
How the job runs

Step 1
Survey and brightness
We look at where the display is going and what light hits it. A screen that is bright enough on an interior wall will be unreadable in a south-facing window at two in the afternoon. Getting the specification wrong here is the single most common LED mistake.

Step 2
Power and data
We check what power is available and how content will get to the screen. A digital display needs a supply and a way to update it, and neither should be an afterthought at installation.

Step 3
Build and burn-in
Letters, trays and boxes are fabricated and wired in Mallusk, then left running before they ship. LED failures are nearly always early failures, and we would rather find them on our bench.

Step 4
Installation and commissioning
Mounted, wired, weather-sealed and commissioned. Timers or photocells are set so a fascia is lit when it earns its keep rather than all night.

Maintenance
We installed it, so we maintain it. Being twenty minutes from Belfast means a fault is a visit rather than a courier and a wait.
What drives the price
Illuminated built-up letters cost more than a flat fascia and less than most people expect, because the LED itself has become cheap. The cost is in the fabrication of the letters and the labour to fit and wire them.
Digital screens are the opposite: the screen is the expensive part, and the price is driven almost entirely by brightness and size. A high brightness window-facing screen costs several times an ordinary indoor panel of the same size, and there is no way around that if it has to be read through glass in daylight.
Common questions
- What does an LED sign cost to run?
- Very little. LED illumination draws a fraction of what the old fluorescent and neon signage did, and most fascia installations run on a timer or a photocell so they are only lit when they earn their keep.
- Can a digital screen be read through a shop window in daylight?
- Only if it is a high brightness window-facing screen. A standard indoor television will wash out completely. We specify screens by the brightness the position actually needs.
- Do you maintain LED displays after installation?
- Yes. We install them, so we maintain them. Being twenty minutes from Belfast means a fault is a visit rather than a courier.
